Ultimate Deli-Styled Krakus Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Ultimate Deli-Styled Krakus Ham and Cheese Sandwich

There are countless variations of ham and cheese sandwiches, with each culture adding its own unique twist. However, I decided to make a deli-style version with a slight twist on the classic cold sandwich. My goal was to toast the bread with high-quality olive oil, serve the meat and cheese warm, and ensure that the cold ingredients were fresh and crisp. To create the sandwich, I first toasted one side of the bread and allowed it to cool before adding the cold ingredients. Then, I toasted the bottom layer directly on the griddle with two types of mustard, ham and cheese. Warming up the ham and cheese made the sandwich even more delicious. Toasting in two parts kept all the ingredients intact, which resulted in a perfect and tasty quick lunch on a chilly winter day.
